Setting them on the floor to get them out of the way isn’t always a good idea given how they can get kicked, accumulate dust, and even be at risk of curious or mischievous pets. You’re also going to have a lot of cables coming out of the back of them, which can get quickly unsightly and disorganized. Also, depending on how much juice it needs to draw, you might be able to only put the computer by itself on an outlet with nothing else plugged in there, even though you also need to provide power to the speakers, monitor, printer, and other accessories.
